Heart health hits the runway

As far as awareness campaigns for serious illnesses go, this one was heavy on the fun, as the Heart Truth’s fourth annual fashion show sent 21 celebrity models down the runway on Thursday evening. Its aim is to bring attention to the ravages of heart disease and stroke, the leading cause of death for Canadian women, and celebrities and designers eagerly line up to be a part of this worthy cause.

So You Think You Can Dance judge Tre Armstrong, funnyman Colin Mochrie, ET Canada’s Rick Campanelli and Vancouver-born actress Emmanuelle Vaugier, perhaps best known for her recurring role as Charlie Sheen’s girlfriend on Two and a Half Men, were all part of the cast of amateur models.

“The rehearsals were fun, but it’s nerve-wracking. I’m excited though – it’s an excited nervous feeling,” said Vaugier before the show.

New look, new gallery and new photos

As you can see, the site has a fabulous new look thanks to the lovely Natalie. In addition to the new design, there is also a new gallery in order to make future updates easier. I loved the other script, but since Emmanuelle has had such a huge television and film career, which I’ve been working on capping more of, this one will make my life a little easier when updating down the road.

I’ve also updated the gallery with new photos of Emmanuelle at the Grey Goose Event To Raise Money For Best Friends Animal Society on January 9, 2010. Thanks to Mia for these.
